Year in Tiers 2022 - Chris Kattan
One tier above the Worst Films of the Year, we find our decidedly bad movies that still have their occasional moments of entertainment sprinkled throughout. Which is why this bad but not terrible tier is named after SNL C-lister, Chris Kattan. #89. Aftersun This may be a little too low on the list but honestly, I'm just so tired of this kind of slow-burn arthouse tragedy porn. 2020: The Year in Tiers - The Best
Our top tier is a little smaller than normal and this is exactly why we don't stick to a top 10 list. Some years, there just really aren't 10 great films released. Last year we extended it to 12. But 2020 wreaked havoc on Hollywood, shuffling releases all over the calendar and limiting the vast majority of their output to at home releases. Which meant very little tent pole blockbusters and a scattered roll out of award contenders that felt very much like studios were holding
